Hidden away behind the main Lowestoft to Norwich road, down a small track which is situated close to a large housing estate is the beautiful Carlton Marshes.
It comes alive during the summer months with wild flowers and grazing cattle and is a haven for wild animals all year round. Common sites along the marked footpaths, at various times, include swans, herons, marsh harriers, barn owls, dragonflies, bats and much more.
